10 Photos of Australia's East Coast to Inspire Your Oz Wanderlust
The Land Down Unda': A country as well known for its pristine white sand beaches and diverse coastal landscapes as it is for its unique wildlife. From the rain forests to deserts, beaches to mountains, and everything else in between, rest assured Oz packs in enough adventure opportunities for a lifetime. I have lived here in NSW for a little over a month now on a working holiday visa from the US, here are some of my favorite photos i've captured in my time here.
Cliff hangs and rocks shaped like cake and...nope, now I just want cake.
The Milky Way will never not make me feel tiny, and that in itself is a beautiful thing. Bombs Quarry is the perfect place to capture some astrophotography or just go out for a night of stargazing, as there is not any real light pollution nearby.
The second most famous bridge in Australia, the first being the Sydney Harbor Bridge, lives up to the hype. For an added thrill try to find your way up to this "secret spot," it's a little more difficult than you would imagine!
Whatever you do just don't look down? Clearly I didn't follow my own instructions. This is why I can't have nice things.
The Helensburgh Glow Worm tunnel, an old abandoned (and supposedly haunted) railroad station that now houses millions of microscopic glow worms that create a natural light show that's hard to beat!
North of Newcastle lies about 30km of sand dunes that seem to stretch on forever. The Stockton Sand Dunes are a popular place for all things 4WD adventures and sand boarding. Not to mention a top quality sunrise viewing spot!
Man vs. Wave at Bombo Quarry, I wonder who won this one?
Good people and good times at Wentworth Falls in the Blue Mountains. Having lived most of my life in the Rocky Mountains I feel most at home in Australia when spending time in the Blue Mountains!
The sea walls and dramatic swell at Bombo Quarry make for some intense picture opportunities to put it lightly, just watch out for those high tides!
