Big Meadows is a beautiful campground right in the park. I would definitely stay there again!

I loved this trail when I visited Sleeping Giant. The lookout tower at the top of the trail is seriously more like a castle, and the views are spectacular. Definitely worth a visit!

Burton's Island is a great hike off the beaten path at Delaware Seashore State Park. The trail also offered great views of the Indian River Inlet Bridge.

As a native of Dayton, Ohio, I love visiting the caverns! The formations are beautiful. Definitely worth the visit!

This is a nice trail that winds through the maritime forest of Cape Henlopen State Park. Most people come to the park for the beach access, but if you are looking for a different environment, this trail is a great way to experience a side of the park that many visitors skip. There are lots of ticks, so check periodically! The trail can also become a little flooded after heavy rains.

The trail is a bit challenging and involves climbing uphill over rocky terrain, but the views are incredible! Both North and South Bubble are definitely worth seeing. These trails were the highlight of my Acadia trip.

An enjoyable way to see the Everglades. Definitely bring lots of water!

Great trail without the crowds. When I hiked this trail in August, we had the cliffs to ourselves.

I absolutely love Cape Henlopen State Park! The park loops truly offers something for everyone. I also recommend stopping by the Seaside Nature Center where there is a touch tank and aquariums featuring local fish and reptiles. The programs that the nature center runs are also excellent. If you are visiting on a day Seining the Bay if offered, it's a fantastic, hands-on way to learn more about the marine life living in the Delaware Bay.
