Easy trail with a plethora of small falls

Junction creek is a tributary that flows into the larger Sheep River near Eden, Alberta with many cool and uncrowded waterfalls.

Once you start at the trailhead there is a river crossing of the Sheep River. This can deter a lot of people as the water can be fast and quite cold. When we went it was about 3ft high and flowing fairly fast.

The trail starts on the other side of Sheep River on the right side of Junction Creek. The trail is fairly easy to start and doubles as a mountain bike and equestrian trail so be prepared to meet up with other users.

At many points the trail leads down to the creek where you can explore waterfalls and walk along side the creek to boulder hop. Ultimately you can make your way to Junction Creek Falls. If you're pressed for time, I still recommend getting there as you will still see many falls along the creek.

Hike Junction Creek to Junction Falls Reviews

This was a fun hike, but the elevation doesn’t match up, we were under 350m. Regardless, it was relatively simple. The falls were amazong, what a hoot to jump into and cool off.
