The trail spans approximately 2.8 miles, with an elevation gain of 1 feet, making it suitable for intermediate to advanced hikers. The trail begins in a dense forest, gradually ascending to a rocky terrain. The trail's midpoint offers a unique feature - a small, clear lake, perfect for a mid-hike rest. As hikers continue, they will encounter a series of switchbacks leading to the mountain's peak. Here, hikers can observe a panoramic view of the Matanuska-Susitna Valley and the Knik River.
