Most people stop the hike when they reach El Chorillo del Salto Waterfall. The lower waterfall that is. However, many do not realize there is three more waterfalls upstream and a great hike to get to them.
The parking area is about 1 mile from the Laguna de los Tres trailhead to Fitzroy. Follow the dirt road to the right. If you have a car, you can drive all the way to the Chorillo del Salto trailhead where there is a good parking lot.
The initial half mile is a flat well maintained trail to the base of a 60 foot waterfall. There is several social trails that can be followed tot he left. They are not marked until you reach an upper bench where there is a sign warning people not to get too close tot he edge of the cliffs. The trail follows the cliff edge over looking the river. As you ascend you will come across three more waterfalls and a number of cascades. On a clear day, you can see Fitzroy. The trail ends just before the third waterfall. Return the way you came.
Early morning is the best time for photography and to avoid people.
