This hike features stunning views and interesting rock formations. It's also dog friendly.
This is a great spot for an afternoon hike near Phoenix. There are some beautiful rock formations, nice trails, and pretty stunning views of the city and desert beyond. It's open year round and is dog friendly so if you've got a pup, definitely bring it along. It gets super hot in the summer and with little shade, you'll want to be sure to bring plenty of water.

Hidden Valley via the Mormon Loop Trail Reviews
This is my favorite hike to do in the city. It's a quick but fun hike and workout. While making your way through hidden valley keep your eyes peeled for the small petroglyph site. My favorite part of the hike is the natural tunnel and fat mans pass.
5.0
Mandatory local hike that you must check off your list. Worth a return or two for sure. Busy on the weekends as you would imagine, attempt on a weekday if a bit more solitude is what you seek.

Easy hike and crowded when it's nice out
