White Rock Rim Trail is an easy hike to the best sunset spot in all of Arkansas.

The trail around the Rim of White Rock Mountain is one of the best trails for vantage points.  Nestled in the beautiful Boston Mountains in north central area of Arkansas.  The White Rock Rim trail is an easy 2 mile loop trail that is moderately hiked year round.  Start at the parking area and head east past the cabins to the trailhead.  Shortly into the trail it will fork right or left, stay left at this point.  Continue to follow the rim trail around the edge of the east side of the mountain and enjoy the quick looks into the valley below. Once you reach the west side of the mountain the real fun begins.  The western side is filled with rock outcroppings that provide views as far as the eye can see.  Near the end of the trail has the very best views and even has an open shelter with benches in it.  Use this area to catch a sunset at one of the best locations in Arkansas.  Once the sun has set simply follow the trail up a couple hundred yards to the parking area.  If you can't get enough of the area there is cabins and camping spots available.

White Rock Rim Trail Reviews

Easy trail with several spots that have amazing views!

Beautiful views for miles and miles easy trail and just breath taking!

Easily one of the most beautiful views in Arkansas. There are mountains on mountains that face perfectly for the sunset. Also there are a ton of climbing spots here as well.

The views were amazing. Every lookout point was jaw dropping, easy access too.

Really nice trail, there are 8 tent sites you can reserve right by the trail with a couple overlooking the bluffs. If you're in the area I highly recommend stopping by. The tent sites are reserved weeks in advance so make sure you call if you're hoping to stay the night. I believe there are some cabins to rent as well.
