Beautiful beach walk along one of the most unused beaches in the area, and amazing slacklining with natural anchors.
This adventure starts at the parking lot of Other Side of the Moon surf break. From Dunsborough take the road to the Cape Naturaliste lighthouse and just before you enter the lighthouse carpark there will be a gravel road on your left. Take the road all the way to the carpark at the end. Be warned that in the summer the track is very sandy and and it is possible to enter with a 2wd but you must drive fast and try to avoid the potholes to not get bogged. If you have a 4wd it's much better but 2wd is sufficient.
Once at the carpark walk towards the beach and you'll see the cape from the lookout. Follow the path down to the beach and then continue along until you reach the rocks at the end. From here you should see the place for the slackline. You should be able to recognise the place from the photos above.
Once here you can walk out to the cape to see the dolphins and seals, chose a place to watch the sunset or rig the slackline.
To rig the slackline there are natural anchors on either side and you will need a selection of slings. I use 5 slings for the main line and backup. The slings are natural and go around rocks so thats the reason you need so many. Bring lengths from 2m all the way up to 4-5m. You will also need to bring normal highline rigging gear and 2 rugs to protect the line from the sharp rocks. I've rigged this line twice without any problem but just remember to bring protection because the rock is very sharp.
The line itself is around 6m high and 19m long and a great line to practice walking before you get into high lining. The line will take around 1 hour to rig properly so bear that in mind before heading out.
If you would like to camp here it is possible but officially it is banned and the ranger will get you if he is around. It is quite loud from the waves breaking but certainly possible to camp here. Just practice the leave no trace.
