While visiting the Bay of Fires in Tasmania, you'll feel pretty off the grid as it is. Stay off the the beaten path a little more, away from campgrounds and other tourists, at this amazing quiet waterfront spot.

The entire East Coast of Tasmania is amazing. I recommend doing the entire Eastern Drive. Sitting at the northeast corner of Tasmania is the Bay of Fires. There is over 50 kilometers of beautiful coastline with orange rock and white sand beaches, so you'll want to stay a day or 2 to explore the whole area. From Binalong Bay and up towards The Gardens, there are many organized campgrounds. They are nice, but why not find your own little nook to post up in?

As you get closer and closer to The Gardens, you'll see an unmarked dirt road turn-off going West, away from the coast. Take it, and start exploring. Maybe you'll find the exact spot I camped at (see pictures), or maybe you'll find your own quiet little hideaway. When we showed up there were remnants of past campers, but no one around at all.

This is not an actual campsite, there are no bathrooms or showers or anything, so pack accordingly.
