Photograph Aerials of the Great Barrier Reef

Just a short 20minute helicopter ride from Airlie Beach or one of the Whitsunday Islands, you can opt to leave the doors off and snap clear shots of the colourful scenery of the Coral Sea.

Hardy Reef is home to the famous 'Heart Reef' and also features a deep winding passage which helps to highlight the water depth and shallow coral crops from the air.

You can depart from Airlie Beach on the mainland or if you're staying on one of the Whitsunday Islands you can fly direct via helicopter or seaplane from Hayman, Daydream or Hamilton Islands.

Keep an eye out for turtles and sharks too which are easy to spot from above!
