Hike to the Brunschkopf

Seefeld in Tirol, Austria

Description

Added by Cat Ekkelboom-White

A beautiful circular walk in the town of Seefeld in Tirol

Starting from the tennis hall in Seefeld, follow the path towards Mösern which goes across the meadows.

When you get to Mösern you'll see trails for the Möserer See and the Möserer See Stube. For the hike to the Brunschkopf, you don't actually pass the lake. It's a short detour off the trail but it's completely worth it!

Once you're finished at the lake, look for the trail "Waldsteig No. 61" in the direction Brunschkopf. Keep following the trail to the first Panoramaweg lookout point. From here you can easily climb up and down the plateau, past the Möserer Höhe stamping point and the second vantage point to the third and best vantage point on the Brunschkopf.

From here the trail goes steeply downhill through the forest until you join the "Blattlsteig" (trail 63) and turn left on this after a total of about 2 hours and reach the Wildmoosalm. At the Wildmoosalm they have a wonderful menu including an amazing home made apple strudel!

After you're re-fuelled, it's a 3km walk back to Seefeld via mostly unpaved paths through the woods.
