I'm Already Planning a Return Trip to Camp at Lake Britton

My family loves the 4th of July! We always take the excuse to get out and camp out!

My parents told me they were coming here for the 4th. I had never been so naturally I had to get some time off work to make the trip out!

We stayed at Lake Britton with my parents, aunt and uncle, grandparents, and my sister and her boyfriend. Super pretty lake. It was perfect temperatures and beautiful for swimming and paddling around. It also helped that we could paddle across the lake and then it was a short hike in to the falls!

Unfortunately, we were there on a Saturday afternoon on 4th of July weekend. Also, Burney Falls is 50 yards from the parking lot. I stood in a crowd so I could take a picture of the crowd. Sometimes I wonder if the internet is killing beautiful places like this. Please be respectful of these places, leave it better than you found it! That way people can come back before the crowds and take pretty pictures.

We got to do a bunch of hiking and paddling around the lake. But we also got to relax at camp a bunch too which was nice. Not too often that we get to be lazy when were out on a trip.

The pink flamingo is Flynn. He was the star of the trip. Unfortunately, we didn't get to take him in the water at Burney Falls because it was wayyyyy too cold. All in all, the trip was super fun. I have some fun ideas for a return trip and can't wait for my travels to take me back that way!
