Climb one of the oldest cast iron lighthouses in the world on the beautiful island of Bermuda!

This beautiful lighthouse has incredible history and also gives you the best view of Bermuda!  This 117', 185 step lighthouse is one of only two cast-iron lighthouses still in existence.  Built in 1844, this lighthouse gives in incredible 360 view of the island. You are able to see all coasts of the island.  It's particularly fun to go at the end of your stay and to be able to point out all the places you've been during your stay at Bermuda.  With a $2.50 ticket price to walk to the top, you won't find a more cost effective and memorable adventure!  The lighthouse also features an excellent gift shop and restaurant.

There are several options for getting to the lighthouse.  It sits on top of Gibbs Hill in the Southampton Parish.  Several taxi tours of the island will make the lighthouse a stop of your scenic tour of the island.  Otherwise, it is best to take a bus to either the Waterlot Inn Restaurant bus stop or Henry IIIV Restaurant bus stop and walk using the Bermuda Railway Trail to the base of the lighthouse.  The path goes around most of the island, but there is a stretch between the Fairmont Southampton Princess Hotel and Church Road (about 1.2 miles), that has a connecting path to the lighthouse (there is a marked sign reading "Gibbs Lighthouse" as shown in this adventure's pictures).

This view is worth the trek and an absolute must if you make the trip to the beautiful island of Bermuda!
