best done March-June before monsoons hit! Monsoons can lead to flash floods in the area so be very careful! also be sure to get a salt river recreation pass from the white Mt Apache tribe!

Camping here in the summer would not be recommended. Always watch for rattle snakes and scorpions!

A great spot to Kayak is down the cove by the bolder recreation site there are some fun cliffs to jump off back there too!

be sure to get out early or you will get stuck in line at Mooney falls!

Make sure if you go in the summer that you get a parking pass and make sure to print it before you go or you will get turned back!! Also be sure to take your trash out!
