What a beautiful place for an easy overnight trip. Cheakamus Lake was a perfect camping location for myself and my family (including my mom and young brother) - it is definitely a family friendly trip. The hike to the lake is super chill and easy, and rewards you with amazing views of Cheakamus Lake and surrounding mountains at the end. Feel free to bring a few luxury camping items on this trip (e.g. a couple drinks) as long as you are prepared to carry out your own garbage! Highly recommend.
