Camp or visit a beautiful park surrounded by three crystal clear lakes, thick pine trees, and unending mountain views.
Visit a provincial park hosting three crystal clear lakes, four campgrounds, and a fair sized island to go out on and explore! The three lakes are perfectly suitable for canoeing and kayaking, as well as fishing. Desjarlais lake is stocked with Rainbow Trout, Moberly Lake is stocked with Brook Trout, and McDonald Lake is known as a trophy fishing lake with some special regulations, check the Alberta Guide to Sportfishing Regulations for info. As far as Hiking/Snowshoeing/Cross-country Skiing trails go, there are nearly 50 kilometers of outstanding trails, most are groomed, while only some remained un-groomed throughout the winter season. There is still a historic trading post that rests on the north end of Moberly Lake.
*Only boats moved by paddles or electric motors are permitted.*
There are boat launches located at; The Desjarlais Lake Boat Launch is accessible from the Joachim Loop Campground, there is a hand launch at the McDonald Lake Day Use Area, and The Norris Boat Launch for Moberly Lake is located near the Moberly Loop Campground. The four campsites consist of; Joachim, Wanyandie, Moberly, and Delorme loops. The Joachim loop has all un-serviced campsites. The other three loops are all powered sites.
