Since we adventured to Alouette Lake during the winter months, the road was closed due to icy conditions. This meant that we had to park approximately 7km away from the lake and hike / run to see the views. We had a great time running, taking pictures, and sliding along ice on our way to the lake! If you are planning to visit Golden Ears, I would recommend going during the warmer months to avoid having to walk the extra 14km round trip to your car. There are lots of options for hiking, backpacking, overnight camping, or day tripping at Golden Ears, so I highly recommend checking it out!
