Bear Mountain when viewed from the east is one of many unassuming roll hills near Dawson Creek marked with a string of windmills.  The west side of the mountain stands in stark contrast to the east side. Several rock outcroppings rise out of the forest, which also hides countless boulders. The guides give specific directions to several areas which are good for bouldering, climbing and exploring. Views start at 100 metres from the parking spots and can turn into walks of several km.
