Catch the Best Views of Jasper on the SkyTram Reviews

Great experience. It's amazing being so high above elevation! Make sure to explore and hike to the top once you've tanned on top of the mountain!

The price is about $35USD but definitely worth it. The tram ride is about 7 minutes long and brings you almost to the top of Whistler Mountain. There is a short hike to the summit of the mountain which we were unable to complete due to an incoming storm. I'm sure the views are even more spectacular from the summit. We got stuck at the little shop/cafe at the top before we were allowed to ride back down due to high winds. Once it was safe to ride back down they let us go but definitely packed the tram. The tram is dog friendly! If you have some time to kill in Jasper this is definitely a good way to do it!

I took my grandparents here who are from South Africa so getting to overlook a huge portion of land from the top of the mountain was an amazing experience for them. There's a lot of ground squirrels (I think that's what they were haha) and they're just too cute. There's a bit of a hike at the top as well which looked really fun but I couldn't do it unfortunately as my grandparents aren't well. I recommend this gondola to everyone !

As stated, it is worth the cost of the gondola up to the Skytram. I have not yet done the one in Banff to be able to compare. There is a guide in the gondolas so on the way up there is a narration to get an idea of what is around. The staff was friendly and our time on the Skytram was enjoyable. We were lucky enough to hit this on a day full of blue skies so the views were spectacular. Bring a jacket though it was very windy up there. The hike is a bit steep to the summit but the panoramic views are worth it. We saw a few marmots on our way up. Plan to spend some time up there so you can hike to the top and sit down and enjoy the views, there isn't a specific limit on the amount of time you can stay up there so enjoy it and definitely to not rush this part of your trip in Jasper.

It costs around $30 for one person to go up the sky tram but in my opinion it is definitely worth it. My sister and I went up there in September of 2015 and it was such a beautiful day. Could see as far as the mountains let you. Beautiful views of Jasper, Athabasca River, Pyramid Mountain and many others. You can also hike while you are up there to the very peak of Whistlers mountain. Check out and photograph some mountain goats too!
