If you're looking to hang out in downtown Dartmouth in green space with a view and no hills, Ferry Terminal Park is the spot! The locals say the best view of Halifax can be seen from there. A great farmers market in the terminal and a nice playground park for kids to explore and play.

Great spot for a family walk with amazing views of Halifax. The playground is small but the ground is nice and padded in case of falls. Lots of picnic tables and benches as well.

The views can't be beat and it's a great spot to hang out and watch the harbor. There is some playground equipment, benches and paths, as well as the World Peace Pavilion. Since this park is in downtown Dartmouth, it's close to lots of cute cafes, local shops, the ferry and the library.

Cute little park if you’re waiting for the ferry or just want a little break to have a snack. A great place to see a beautiful view of Halifax Harbor.

Explore Georges Island National Historic Site

Georges Island is a historical site with tunnels, a lighthouse, and plenty of Halifax History. It is located in the Halifax Harbor, and there are multiple ferries going to and from the island. Once on the island, you can enjoy self guided tours and scenic views. Remember to bring hiking or sturdy shoes. Ferries generally operate until mid-October, when the season ends.

Halifax Public Gardens

Halifax Public Gardens was first established by the Nova Scotia Horticultural Society in 1836, and grew to its present size and layout in 1875. It was recognized as a National Historic Site in 1984. Trail riding can’t get better than this. The Rum Runner trail is a bit tricky to find if you're not from the area, but Google maps will show you the way.
