Description

Added by Erik Peterson

Liard is the second largest hot springs in Canada. These natural mineral springs are the perfect rest stop on the lengthy Alaskan Highway.

The Liard River Hot Springs are located at mile 475 of the Alaskan Highway in northern British Columbia and is a great camping spot or rest stop after a long day of driving.

After pulling off the highway and parking you follow a 300 meter, raised boardwalk through a warm, delicate muskeg swamp. This area is frequented by moose and black bear and sighting are extremely common.

The hot springs themselves have washrooms and changing rooms. The pools themselves are quite natural in appearance and have a gravel bottom. The temperature fluctuates from extremely hot near the inflow of the spring and gets cooler as you move away.

If you just plan to use the hot springs the cost is $5 per adult. The hot springs are open 24 hours a day and are open all year round.

Relax at Liard River Hot Springs Reviews

I went here as a kid 20 years ago. My boyfriend and I just went again this July, it was just as beautiful and natural as i remembered! Very relaxing and scenic!

This place is unreal in the winter. My friend and I went in February and it was awesome, and definitely not crowded. Highly recommend!!
