Description

A short hike well worth the view in Algonquin Provincial Park.

Just off Hwy 60, the Lookout Trail parking lot is clearly marked. The trail is a fairly simple trip with a constant up-hill trail. Along the way there are many large bolders that will capture your attention. At the top of the cliff there is a wide viewing area clear of trees and brush to  allow you to appreicate the scenic surondings.

To avoid groups of people, set out early and enjoy breakfast with a view!

Hike Lookout Trail, Algonquin Provincial Park Reviews

If you can hit Algonquin just as the colors peak in the fall, it certainly is special. its almost like being in a cartoon, the colors are amazing. The Look out trail can be a challenge especially if you try and cheat and go left which is a straight up hill climb to the lookout, its about a 45 degree angle for more than a KM for sure, did it, paid for it,lol . Go right, its a nice trail and the climb is gradual with a huge reward at top
