A family friendly, 2.5km walk among a gorgeous landscape. Perfect for a gentle summer stroll or even a winter snowshoe through the woods.

Access:

Goldeye Road is located 100kms from Rocky Mountain House, 10kms west of Nordegg on Highway 11. Follow the road towards the lake access point on your left.

Note: Please take the left turn to get to the lake and campground, if you follow the road to its end you end up at the Goldeye Centre where there is no public access to the lake or trail.

Trail:

Park your vehicle at the camp ground and you will notice a large floating dock from which many a fisherman spend the day catching Rainbow Trout.

To the left of the dock you will see a well maintained trail through the trees. Follow this trail along, onto a 100m boardwalk, past the Goldeye Centre private dock and back to where you began! Along the way there are several smaller trails that cut in and out of the woods on your left that can also be explored and lead to a canyon should you wish to extend the trip.

This is a great year-round adventure suitable for all ages and a great way to stretch your legs if you are camping nearby!

If you wish to up the level of adventure, the Goldeye Centre offers a variety of activities from the high static challenge course to a 30m climbing wall, canoe and SUP rentals as well as archery and survival skills. Check them out at www.goldeye.org!
