Description

A beautiful trail with a little bit of eveything. Waterfalls, trees, rock, streams, and a panoramic view of the Ottawa valley. Old fire watch tower located at the peak.

The first part of the hike is a bit of a workout, traversing the Eardley Escarpment, but it levels off a bit at the edge of the escarpment with a gentle upward slope to the fire tower. The total elevation gain is about 1100ft.

Dogs are not allowed on this trail, but you can find other trails in the park where you can bring your dog at http://www.ncc-ccn.gc.ca/places-to-visit/gatineau-park/things-to-do/dog-walking-gatineau-park.

Hike the Luskville Falls Fire Tower Loop Reviews

This is a nice trail. I would drive an hour to do this hike but a rating of 5? For a 5 I would expect people to be willing to fly from the other side of the planet to see this trail. This is an OK trail if you live in the Ottawa area. If you are flying in from Europe to go hiking you can skip this.

The view was spectacular. A nice up hill rock path with a stream most if the way . A workout, that's for sure. great review.

I come here a few times every summer with my friends and it never gets old! It not far from the Ottawa-Gatineau region. The beginning of the hike is fairly steep and rocky so It gets your heart rate going. I would recommend plenty of water as it can get fairly humid here in the summer, and bring a snack for when you reach the top.

I come here with my friends and family all the time! It's an Intermediate trek to the top, but the view is very rewarding! Make sure to check out the fire tower as well.
