The Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook is the 1st Wonder of Eastern Townships and has a few amazing hikes within the park.

Hiking trails at Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook are spread into 3 sectors to reveal the park’s attractions.
For a day trip I will suggest doing the yellow trail, which is the one we did. It will bring you directly into the heart of the Gorge. It is quite a short hike, 1h30-2h00 and you'll get the chance to walk on the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in North America. Be careful if you are afraid of height, the bridge is 164 feet high and 554 feet long ! There is a short detour (12 min) that you can take if you don't want to go on the bridge, but since it's the longest suspension bridge in North America, I'm sure you don't want to miss it !

After the bridge, you'll walk for a short time in the wood, passing a rest area where you can have a picnic and use the washroom. Continuing in the trail, you'll have to walk some stairs down to go deeper in the Gorge and there is also an old cave that you can visit. On the way back, you'll  pass close to the Corticelli dam and find a 120 steps tower which will give you a nice view up to the valleys around. Finally, just before going back to the parking you can go inside the hydroelectric station to have a look at the turbine running.

The hike during the day is a really fun activity, but if you want to do something different, I'll suggest you doing Foresta Lumina at night which is an immersive experience. Emphasizing on scenography, lighting and video mapping while enjoying original soundtrack music, you are invited into a universe inspired by the region’s fictitious heritage and Quebec forest mythology. The experience was created by Moment Factory and is showing for the third year. Worth it !

The cost to enter the park is 7.50$ for an adult and 4.50$ for children under 16.

If you go by night, I suggest grabbing a bite at the restaurant next the entrance ''Le Coffret de l'Imagination'' which offer great meal in a cozy ambiance. By day, you absolutely need to make a stop at the Coaticook dairy, where you can enjoy amazingly good ice cream that is made directly on site (I suggest the maple sugar one, which is delicious !). There is also a local microbrewery just in front of the dairy.

Hike the Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook Yellow Trail Reviews

Très beau camping à côté des piste de vélo, belle rando et prévoyez une visite à la crèmerie de Coaticook qui est à côté!

I went to Foresta Lumina and that was insane! They know how to put magic in the forest! It's not a hard hike, so take your time and watch the lights show
