Distance: ~2km roundtrip. Beautiful Canyon. Easy access with great photo opportunities.
Marble Canyon is easily accessible off of the 93S in Kootenay National Park between Banff and Radium.
This is a really beautiful area and a nice easy walk for the family with some beautiful scenery to go along with it. Make a visit here in August when the the Fireweed is at its prime, lining the forest floors with a beautiful Pink and Purple flowers.
Parking for Marble Canyon is right off the 93S highway, it is sign-posted and very easy to find. From the parking lot follow the trail that runs along the creek. Once on this trail you simply follow it until it ends. It is clearly marked and very well maintained with bridges crossing over the canyon.
The water is an incredible colour and the area is very green and lush. Years ago there was a prescribed burn in this area and now everything is starting to grow back and it gives a very fresh feel when you are walking around the area.
There are deep anyone to look down and a waterfall at the end. There are also many other hikes that can start from this area including some over night hikes.
