A great place to spend a hot summer day. Cool slot canyon located close to Canmore, Alberta. A unique hiking experience. Easy access. Distance: 6 km.

From the parking lot find the trail head that leads away from the highway. This is an easy, but very interesting hike that will take you through a winding slot canyon.

Take your time and explore all the various options, there are small waterfalls, and if you're feeling really adventurous you can climb around on some of the rocks. Consider bringing sandals if you don't want to get your boots wet.

There are some great photo opportunities with the water running through the canyon so make sure you bring both your camera and your tripod!

Hiking Jura Creek Reviews

Twas an easy, fun little scramble. Was empty the day we went, so it was just us and the creek. The canyon is small but awesome, at parts you can touch both sides on the canyon just by stretching your arms. I'd definitely recommend this. The trailhead is a bit hard to find, listen for the sound of running water.

The trailhead can be hard to find if you don't know exactly what you're looking for but it's well worth it. Such a gem of a little creek hike. Best done on hot days!

Fun unique hike!
