Rock Climb at Seal Cove

From the Britannia Beach parking lot walk north. There is a well established trail along the West side of the highway. Walk roughly 400 metres North and you will find a steep trail leading towards the ocean. You'll quickly come to a small boulder field, cross cautiously and follow the cairns. From there the trail is obvious until you make it to the train tracks. Cross the train tracks and head towards the train tunnel, but don't enter it! There will be another short and steep trail to get you to the climbing area. I'd highly recommend using the fixed rope to make it a bit safer.

Once there make sure to enjoy the beautiful views of the ocean, and some amazing slab and crack climbing! The best guidebook is Squamish Select, it can be found at the local gear stores. Keep an eye out for seals, it's not called Seal Cove for nothing!

This would be a great place for a climbing date or a nice quiet crag to spend the afternoon at. The water can be a bit choppy but it would also be a great place to swim in the ocean if it's really warm.
