Find the Blackcomb Glacier Ice Cave

Description

Discover the underbelly of the Blackcomb Glacier and take in the wonder of a place stuck in time.

Take the Glacier Express to the top of Blackcomb Mountain, where you will ride the Showcase T-Bar before a quick hike up the well-trodden path. Ski down the Blackcomb Glacier to where it starts to flatten out, stay to the right. You can either go out of the ski area early and ski down to the pylon-marked area or wait until it's flat and take a hard right and look back. If you get to the long flat area of the glacier you've gone too far. Best bet is to ask someone nearby to confirm its location as it is a quick jaunt outside of the ski area.

When you arrive, you will see the wide entrance to this magnificent cave to take photos from the outside or (at your own risk) enter the cave.

*The top of the Blackcomb Glacier is a black diamond-rated ski run, and the cave is outside of the ski area. If you're a beginner skier, this isn't the run for you.
