Dog Sled in the Quebec Forest

Enjoy a once in a lifetime experience dog-sledding in Quebec, an hour outside of Ottawa, with Escapade Eskimo! The guide of the tour is the owner of the business who also runs a lodge that you can stay in before and after your trip. You'll arrive at the lodge, check-in, and once ready, you'll drive a few minutes down the road to the launch point where you'll meet the guide with the dogs. You'll assist getting the dogs from the truck and securing them to the sled. Two people per sled - one 'driving' the sled and one sitting on the front, perfect for groups! 

Once everything is set up, you'll enjoy a ride through the forest and past a few ponds for about an hour. You'll have the opportunity to guide the sled (you'll receive directions from the guide about how to best direct the dogs, mush!) and switch halfway with your sled partner. It's best to wear lots of layers, gloves and a hat as it is 

After the ride, you'll return to the lodge where you may even have the opportunity to hangout with the dogs! They are all beautiful huskies, bred by the owner and his family.
