Explore the Seven Mile Beach

West Bay Road, Cayman Islands

Description

Added by Josh Hollandsworth

Picturesque beaches with crystal-clear water and exotic wildlife.

The Seven Mile Beach is located on the western side of the Grand Cayman Island. Only about an 8 minute drive from the Georgetown port, visitors can enjoy this coral-sand beach while stopping in at the various restaurants and beach bars along the way.

It won't take you very long to discover why this beach has been voted one of the top beaches in the Caribbean. The Seven Mile Beach has white coral sand, the water is crystal clear, blue iguanas can be seen near the trees, and the entire beach is open to the public. Many of the visitors on the beach have sailed to the Grand Cayman via cruise ships, so at times the beach can tend to feel crowded. It is important to remember that the crowds usually spend most of their time near the restaurants and bars. If you are looking for some solitude, I suggest spending your time on the northern end of the beach.

If you ever have the opportunity to visit the Caribbean, you should strongly consider adding the Seven Mile Beach to your list of places to stop.
