Unfortunately, Nokhu Hut is closed indefinitely.
The Nokhu Hut is part of the Never Summer Nordic Hut system, and makes for the perfect beginner Hut trip. The Hut has a stocked kitchen, wood shed, and small wood burning stove that keeps the tiny hut toasty warm.
From the Hut, it is a short, easy hike to Lake Agnes - the trail often stays snowy until July. There is good skiing nearby, but also significant avalanche danger.
In the winter, you can access the Hut by hiking up the closed forest service road. Snowshoes are advisable to avoid post holing. In the summer the road is normally open, and you can drive almost all the way to the hut.
When you get to the cabin, fire up the little stove, unpack, and fix your dinner on the grill. Then relax by the fire with some drinks, and snap photos of the amazing night sky.
