Amazing shots of the overpass framing the mountains. Total exposure a little over 2 minutes. With any luck, you can catch the clouds rolling over the mountains. Duration: Quick Stop.
After shooting a friend's wedding, I was on my way home when I noticed the sky start to light up to the west. I parked the car and ran down the road. The spot is well known for how perfectly the overpass frames the mountains as drivers leave the Denver area.
The total exposure time was just over 2 minutes. This method of long exposure shooting is achieved by using a very dark filter. The results capture any sort of movement, in this case, the cars on the interstate and the clouds rolling above the mountains.

I lived in Denver for a little over a year. My apartment faced the Front Range. Watching sunset every night over those mountains was not only a treasure, but a fulfilling experience. The light dances in the sky, off the clouds, and through storms. It's something everyone should see experience in their lifetime.

This is honestly one of my favorite views in Colorado! I love leaving the city and then seeing this wide open vista welcoming me to the mountains. Great place to take in a sunset!
