Description

Added by The Outbound Collective

Cove Island Park Loop Trail is a 1.1 mile loop hike that takes you by the coast located near Stamford, Connecticut.

This trail is accessible year round and features water views of the Long Island Sound with beach access. The trail is a popular spot for walking, biking, fishing, and even bird watching. But if you’re not quite in the mood to get your steps in, you can use the small beach to sit and chat with a friend or get lost in a book. It’s also a great location to catch the sunset.

The path is paved and includes separation for bikers and walkers to avoid run-ins. Additionally, the trail is rather flat, making it both wheelchair and stroller accessible.

Note that there is a parking fee to use this trail unless you visit in the off season. You can, however, walk in free of cost. Restroom facilities are available. This spot is definitely both family and dog friendly. After an outing, you can easily grab a bite to eat in one of the nearby towns.

Hike Cove Island Park Loop Trail Reviews

Still new to the area, so I have not experienced this place during the summer. But fall/winter, it's been a great place to get a good walk in. It's spaced out, safe. The scenery is so beautiful no matter what the weather is. There are also different outlets throughout the park with plenty of benches, rock walls, and green space to sit and relax. I could see it getting crowded but I go during off-hours or on colder days and there aren't too many people there, and it's incredibly peaceful.
