Shades of Gray

Beneath these layers
Lays shades of gray
Uncovers your truth
False pages turned
Without compromise

I gave everything
I shouldn't have protested so much
Let me rise above the surface
Don't contest your denial

Remember
Will you remember?

Exhausted from disaster
Tomorrow will fade into shards of glass
Slicing through clouds thickened by your lies
Withered away revealing itself

It's just too late
Too late for compromises
Walk your steps of judgment
No one can save you

Description: While editing this photo I thought about people in my past and how I moved on, wanting to venture away and moving apart of city life. My poem above depicts this very thing.
This shot was taken at Shenandoah National Park in Virginia, a place of solace and beauty.
