I will never pass up the chance to create a fun and delicious cocktail, especially while camping. The TINCUP Adventure Pack makes camp cocktails much easier. Now, I can slip the sleek and lightweight stainless steel bottle into any pack and avoid lugging heavy (and fragile!) glass ones into the woods.

On our most recent trip, we tested the TINCUP Adventure Pack with some deep woods cocktails, and it did not disappoint. Read on for two tasty recipes to try with your new Adventure Pack.

1. Rosemary Whiskey Smash

The seasons are officially changing, and that crisp (and cold) autumn feeling is in the air. For the first cocktail of the trip, we hoped to soften the blow of the quickly approaching end of summer with a Rosemary Whiskey Smash. The botanical elements and bright citrus pair perfectly with the gently sweet whiskey in this refreshing midday pick-me-up.

Ingredients

Rosemary Simple Syrup
3/4 cup Sugar
3/4 cup Water
Two sprigs of rosemary

The Cocktail
2 oz TINCUP Adventure American Whiskey
0.5 oz  Rosemary Simple
1 Lemon
1 Sprig of fresh rosemary for garnish

At Home

To make the Rosemary Simple Syrup, bring the sugar and water to a boil in a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Simmer the liquid while stirring until the sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes.

Add rosemary sprigs to the pot and simmer for an additional 15 minutes. Remove from heat and let steep for 1 hour. Remove the rosemary and refrigerate the syrup in a stoppered bottle until it's time to transfer it to your cooler.

Forget your jigger at home and measure all your ingredients in the signature TINCUP cap!

1. Cut the lemon into wedges. Add a lemon wedge to your camp cup rim and muddle (if you don't have a muddle, use the end of a camp spoon).
2. Add Rosemary Simple syrup and TINCUP Whiskey.
3. Top with ice and stir.
4. Garnish with a wedge of lemon and a sprig of rosemary.
5. Place your camp chair in a patch of sun, and enjoy!

Tip: Express the oils of the rosemary by slapping them on your palm, then sip from the mug next to garnishes to connect smell and taste for an amplified experience. Also, toss some rosemary into your campfire to keep mosquitos at bay!

It's easy to forget to check your weather app when you're adventuring all day, and it wasn't until we were racing a downpour to make a nightcap that we realized we were in for a night in the tent. Thankfully, this next recipe is the perfect cozy cocktail to enjoy while you wait out a storm.

Ignoring stiff fingers is worth it for this "Forgetting the Forecast" Old Fashioned. The garnishes elevate the drink's simplicity, and hey, if you forget a cocktail pick, you can whittle one like we did!

Ingredients

2 oz TINCUP Adventure American Whiskey
.5 oz Honey
1 Orange
3 dashes Angostura Bitters
3 to 4 Luxardo Cherries
1
Cocktail pick

Tip: Don't have a cocktail pick? Whittle one out of a stick or remove the leaves from the rosemary from the cocktail above and use the stem.

1. Before making the cocktail, fill your camp cup with ice and set it aside to chill.
2.
Once your cup is chilled, remove the ice and muddle a Luxardo cherry at the bottom of your cup.
3.
Add TINCUP Adventure American Whiskey and honey. Stir until combined.
4.
Dash bitters into the cup, add a large chunk of ice from your cooler, and stir until fully incorporated and chilled.
5.
Using a pocket knife or peeler, cut a big piece of orange peel and express oils over the cup, then wipe along the rim of the mug.
6.
Garnish with a pick skewering the orange peel and a Luxardo cherry.
7.
Pinkies up and headlamps on. This drink can be enjoyed from inside your sleeping bag in your cozy tent or by the fire on a clear night!
