Indian run falls: An adventure in the heart of Columbus, Ohio

Crazy adventures of E & L

By: Emy Varughese + Save to a List

Here you go!

The Indian Run Falls is a popular destination for waterfall lovers. It has some amazing waterfalls you can step into, nature trails and observation decks that can suffice the adrenaline needs of young and old.

Address: 700 Shawan Falls Dr, Dublin, OH 43017

And now for the fun part. How to get to the waterfall?

You will cross a number of bridges. The first one being a really long one.

Followed by a number of small ones.

You might even get to secretly watch a baseball game on your little adventure.

When you spot this metal door, stop! For now you will descend (arrow) into unknown territory.

Those rocks can be intimidating and scary {Ignore my shoes :-)}, but do it, for you will be rewarded.

Brave souls who descend will soon get attuned to the sound of flowing water. At first you will notice water drizzling onto the rocks and when you look up, you will see that beauty in the distance.

The water can be a myriad of colors depending on when you visit. When I visited, it was a breath-taking lime green. I stood in awe for it was a beautiful serenity-pool at the bottom of the falls- crystal clear.

Now you have witnessed nature at its best. You still have a lot of might left! On your way back, close to the start of the falls, descend again.

Now you can actually view the water fall from the top which is mind-blowing. As tempting as it may seem, jumping off the falls is illegal.

Take some amazing pictures. Enjoy the tranquility of flowing water. Mother nature is truly a blessing!

Tip: Go after the rains to witness a spectacular show.
