Oak Point Nature Preserve has several intersecting trails: some paved, some natural surface, some open-air, some wooded. A great place for easy walks/hikes of any distance. The Redbud & Caddo trails are mostly wooded. You can add the loop around the lake; watch out for dense mosquito swarms depending on the weather.

This is a great area with lots of intersecting trails to choose from. The outer loop has a fairly steep hill that can be muddy and slick, but is otherwise easy to traverse. Can be crowded. Lost one star because some trail intersections are not well marked.

This trail was beautiful, with a little bit of everything you should expect in the Canadian Rockies: snowcapped mountains and a glacier above a pristine blue lake, forest, river, rapids, and a waterfall. Most of this hike is pretty easy, but there is a spot near the end that requires a steep, stepped climb, so save some energy. Stay on the main trail; some offshoots are more slippery (loose sand) and steep than they appear.

One of my first “real” hikes and still one of my favorites. Downhill, through a tunnel, and around the bend to the cove, where seals were barking and the view was wonderful. A bit of a climb to get back up to the road, but well worth it.

Beautiful view and a great place to swim, too.

Really enjoyed this trail. Peaceful among the trees and creek. Waterfall area was crowded with families eating lunch on the rocks.

We happened to be there on a very foggy day and couldn’t see much of the falls. Still a fun, quick hike and worth doing.
