Juniper Springs is located minutes from Ocala, FL in the Ocala National Forest. This is the real Florida. Crystal clear spring water is guaranteed to beat the summer heat.Visitors will find numerous walking trails as well as access to the Florida National Scenic Trail that wanders through the Juniper Prairie. Visitors often see wildlife including turtles, alligators, and various birds. This area is also home to black bears.

Constructed in the 1930's by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), the recreation area includes a campground, swimming area, and picnicking facilities. Canoe and kayak rental are available by an onsite concession vendor.
