Pack your underwater cameras and come dive the "Miss Louise" tug boat.

SCUBA dive the "Miss Louise" tug boat wreck, located at N 30:22.287, W 86:25.317.

For this trip, I went through ScubaTech, a local Destin dive shop that rents dive gear, fills tanks, and takes groups out on various reef and wreck dives in the Destin area. They offer 4 hour (2 dive) trips on their boat, the “Sea Cobra.”

The "Miss Louise", an 85' steel tugboat, sits in around 60' of water on the sandy bottom about a mile off the beach from the old Crystal Beach Pier (South end of Pompano Street in Destin). It is also known as the "Crystal Beach Tug". This wreck was put here in 1997 as an open water training site for beginner SCUBA classes.

There is plenty of aquatic life to see at the "Miss Louise," like sea cucumbers, sea urchins, horse conch, starfish, jellyfish, angel fish, spade fish, trigger fish, lion fish, toadfish, porgies, ruby red lips, mangrove snapper, red snapper, amberjacks, spanish mackerel, king mackerel, flounder, gag grouper, goliath grouper, barracuda, sharks, dolphins, octopus, sea turtles, and more!

Be sure to bring your underwater camera(s) and take plenty of photos to show your family and friends. Have fun!
