Swim in crystal clear water at this easy to find and well-maintained swimming hole in Madison Blue Springs State Park.

This natural spring is easily one of the best hidden gems in Florida. The pool of water is crystal clear for swimming, scuba-diving, and jumping in from off on a cliff to the side. The water is also about 70 degrees - a perfect compliment to the hot, humid climate of Florida. A rip current in the shallower rocky area leads to a river as well as more places to lay out in the sun. Since it's a state park it is well-maintained with easy access and plenty of parking. There's a fence wrapping around the entire body of water with a couple of picnic benches to eat and relax at.

The location is typically as crowded as it should be for how accessible and beautiful it is. Even though this is a commericialized area, Madison Blue Springs is still an amazing place to visit and I highly recommend that everyone makes a stop here.

Madison Blue Springs Reviews

This is a great place for snokeling as well as cliff jumping! The area is perfect since it is not crowded.

The water here was absolutely beautiful. A little cold, but nothing you can't get used to in an area like this. It can get a bit crowded, but if you arrive a little on the early side you can usually have most of the place to yourself (minus a few divers).

This place was very beautiful. very clear, one of the clearest I've seen so far in Florida. It has a cave to explore which is the best part of making this trip for any diver. Plenty to explore even for snorkelers by the river. You find some really cool rocks, marine life and more. A must go! Between Memorial Day and Labor day weekend they do close around 1 due to capacity. Make sure if you make the trip to be there at open. We showed up 30 minutes early from PC Florida just to make this trip. Definitely great for all ages!

This spring is never crowded, the water is amazingly blue and very cold. It's a wonderful experience to swim down the run of the spring-almost an obstacle course water slide where you're moving quickly and avoiding the rocks in your way. I would highly recommend this spring to anyone, it's a truly fun experience.

Apart from the load of people and having to pay 15 per adult it was a great time. The main spring was packed but the smaller ones didnt have anyone in them. If you do not like cold water this isnt the place for you. the springs were very chilling especially the smaller ones. Great little place

If you're not willing to get in the chilly water, it's a waste of time. However, if you just so happen to jump in, you'll have a great time. There are so many cool things to see and wildlife at every turn. Really awesome experience!
