Such a beautiful walk on the boarder of the town and ocean. Additionally this is one of my favorite beaches because it’s a very shallow beach so you can wade fairly far out.

The diversity of landscapes in the peninsula astounds me. This beach is a must do. Between the driftwood and rock formations there is so much to explore

A beautiful location overlooking black sand beaches but the true highlight is the cliff side full of puffins. I watched them endlessly leave and return to their nests with beaks full of fish.

Because it’s on the golden circle there are quite a bit of people, but there is a wooden walkway to a nice viewpoint. You won’t understand the true power of this waterfall until you get there.

There is also an additional geyser near Stokkur and both go off relatively frequently. Definitely a fascinating place to explore, and not to miss if you are on the Golden Circle.

I never felt that there is anything too special about this park but it is quite large. What I did like exploring was the ponds. There is usually not many people hiking on it either.

There are so many trails and different sections of the park. You can make hikes as short or as long as you’d like. Some paths are well groomed while other are a little more wild, giving you the opportunity for what kind of adventure you’d like. I also love having lunch by the pond.

This is definitely not my favorite trail in the area as there are so many wonderful trails around UConn. I would often run on the water line trail section, but I unfortunately was never able to explore too far off side trails because they were so overgrown.

I went to explore mirror lake and was surprised by how much was on the byway. Stopped at many breathing taking viewpoints and would definitely recommend Provo River Falls

Fairly steep hike but quite rewarding once you get to the peak. I went last in mid-summer and there was very few other people on the trail

It was a fairly fun hike through and through. A lot of wildlife including deer, nice streams, and great views from the summit.

Walking the spit is fantastic. Had a great time exploring the rocks and logs and viewing the wildlife. We even spotted a seal just of shore

Even in poor weather with the views blocked by fog, I still loved this trail. It’s not a strenuous hike for the park’s standards and I could spot wildlife right off of the trail

Of the trails I’ve used to climb Mt. Washington this one is my favorite. Probably the hardest trail I’ve used although there is no easy way up. The views from the top of the ravine are quite a sight

Absolutely love this area. Each season brings unique aspects to explore. I had a great time in winter when there was a lot of ice formations; just be careful as it can be slippery on the trail.

It’s a nice walk with even better views. The downside is it can be quite heavily trafficked.

Can be quite populated but it’s so unique and right on the ring road that it is worth the stop

I accidentally stumbled upon this spot and I’m so glad I did. From the wind pushing against you as you enter the cave, to standing on the boulder with the falls raining down from above, the whole experience was surreal

Quick and easy walk to the falls that everyone should do. Beyond that the trail to deer lake becomes more challenging and less trafficked, but worth it if you have the time

A cute little place to explore and picnic. You can spend as much or as little time here. Follow the trail farther downstream to find a little more privacy on busy days

Everything about this trail is beautiful - the cliff, the falls, the forest. There’s a nice turnaround point in the middle of the hike but would completely recommend going all the way to the base

The location is a stunning cultural site which is worth the time since it’s such a quick stop. There can be crowds though so just note that there are many other immersive and beautiful hikes in the Blue Mountains if you want to go somewhere without as many people

I went in the spring and had the whole place absolutely to myself. The tracks are greats and the views are stunning, especially from the bridges. Several scenes of Lord of the Rings were also filmed here for those that are interested in that.
