Description

Added by Tara Warolin

Lulumahu Falls is a secret hike off the Pali Highway through a bamboo forest, into a sprawling green valley vista and up a mountainside to this 60ft tiered waterfall.

Park off the Old Pali Highway before the lookout in the dirt parking lot. There is an entry along the fence that will go through. The first part of the hike takes you through a bamboo forest. Most of the time it will be muddy, so be prepared to get dirty. This will lead you to an open grassy valley that gives you spectacular views of the valley. Follow a small path in the grass, or walk to the top of the hill for the best views. There will be a cement wall with graffiti and then a small staircase opposite that. Take the stairs up, go around the fenced area and stay along the creek to get to the waterfall.

Lulumahu Falls Reviews

I LOVED THIS HIKE! Did it with friends, gorgeous gorgeous waterfall.

The bamboo forest was my favorite part. Waterfall at the end is cool too

Beautiful hike off of the Pali highway. The forest is lush and has a waterfall at the end. It can get pretty muddy, but muddy is fun

Great hike that can be a bit muddy in some parts, but totally worth checking out if you are in the area!

Used to do this in-between classes sometimes. Nice, easy hike just off the side of the Pali Highway in Nu'uanu Valley. Hour and a half roundtrip, can do faster but why do that? Nice views from the valley floor.

It gives you a little bit of everything.
