Scenic family-friendly trail in the Hawaii Kai area of Honolulu, HI.
Koko Head Botanical Garden is a loop trail offering a hike for the whole family. The trail is wide, well-marked, with minimal elevation gain. Along the loop, the sections are well-marked with information about which regions of the world the vegetation is native to. You can complete the loop clockwise or counterclockwise -- you'll see all the sites in either direction!
There is a parking lot at the entrance to the trail, but this lot can get full as the day progresses especially on the weekends. There are portable restrooms at the start of the trail.
If want to hike to the top of Koko Head Carter, check out Koko Head Crater Trail.

Koko Head Botanical Garden Reviews
The Koko Head Botanical Garden is a great trail for the whole family. We saw running strollers on the dirt trail, but easiest with a carrier. Grandparents can head out on this trail as well. The path is well-marked and provides insights into the different regions the plants are from. Keep in mind there is some shade, but not too much, so head out earlier in the day if you can.
