A great way to see a unique part of Hong Kong - the UNESCO Global Geopark islands at Sai Kung
This is a day trip from Sai Kung (inner Shelter Bay) to Pak A, on the outer edge of Shelter Bay just before heading out into the South China Sea.
The trip starts from a beach in Sai Kung on the north eastern corner of Hong Kong. It's called Shelter Bay because of the protection created by the numerous islands dotted within the bay. Our sea kayak trip took us 16 klms, through these islands deep into the UNESCO Global Geopark.
We stopped at beautiful deserted remote beaches for a swim and to snorkel over coral reefs.
Lunch is included in the trip - as is drinks and snacks throughout the day. It's warm in Hong Kong, so we stopped every hour at a beach for a swim. It took us about 4 hours to paddle. the sea kayaks are fast, very stable and comfortable.
