Located in the northern section of Snæfellsjökull National Park, this beach has amazingly colorful sand, beautiful blue water and cliffs you can hike on above the ocean.
From the parking area you are free to roam the area. We started by walking down the stairs from the left of the parking lot. We walked down to the beach and went to the right towards the cliffs, hiked up under the base of the cliffs and around to the left to get on top of the cliffs. The area is very open and easy to access.
Be sure to pick up a handful of sand while you're there. Not only is the sand very colorful it's amazingly soft.

While the beach itself is cool, the entire area is a great spot to check out. the first step in that section of the peninsula is this beach which is awesome. Continue on past the beach to check out even more spots that are well worth it. The peninsula on a whole is great, this beach is no exception
