Climb Up the Trigg Observation Tower

Description

Added by Andrew White

Trigg Observational Tower is a set of stairs to one of the highest points of sight over Shawnee National Forest. Although there isn't a hike at this location, it is definitely a great end to a day of adventures.

Trusting in the iron supporting the stairs is difficult until you step on the wood, which soon become your main concern. A fun test for a fear of heights.

Climb Up the Trigg Observation Tower Reviews

Get above the trees at the tower. I hope the forest service has laid new planks of wood or that it is on the horizon because the last time I was there it was starting to show it’s age. Use caution.

Since the Trigg tower was used as a fire observation tower, you can see for miles and miles into the Shawnee national forest. On a clear night, the glow from cities can be seen in the distance but it won't stop you from enjoying some awesome stargazing!
