Visit India's tallest waterfall!
Located in India's proclaimed "wettest place on Earth", Cherrapunji, these falls will take your breath away. The name of the falls in Khasi, "Jump of Ka Likai", is linked to a legend about local women who jumped off the cliff next to the falls. Monsoon season or not, this waterfall in the East Khasi hills will surely not disappoint any visitor.
Hire a car from Sohra to the viewpoint walk, where you can descend a set of concrete stairs a few hundred metres to an even more incredible viewpoint and can take you down to the base of the falls if you are willing to risk the steep climb back up! This workout is well worth it.
Grab some local cinnamon from the vendors near the lookout and then head out to check out some of the many other waterfalls and caves in the area!
