About this place

Added by Jay Roberts

Rails-to-trail pathway from Richmond, Indiana to Muncie. Excellent for a casual stroll or longer road bike trip through scenic gorge, open landscapes, and forests.

The Cardinal Greenway has a number of access points within the city of Richmond. The furthest southern access point is off of Test Road just east of the intersection with Abington Pike. There is ample parking here and will allow you to enjoy a short section along the Whitewater River that includes the historic Gennet Records site. Another excellent access point is just north of Main Street near the Cycling and Fitness Warehouse on North 3rd Street. From here, you can bike or walk north through a nice stretch of river and forest crossing a picturesque bridge.

The path runs through five counties and ending after 62 miles in Marion, Indiana.

Many places to get on and off the trail. Nice for short walks or long.
