Awesome hiking trials exposing beautiful views of the Mississippi River and the hills of 3 states at once- Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa!

This spot is the perfect place for Midwestern people to escape the cornfields and get a breath of fresh air in the woods. It's a cool park with topography unlike any other in the area. I recommend Horseshoe Bluff if you only have time for one hike. There are tons of trails, a burial place/monument of Julien Dubuque, a butterfly garden, Catfish Creek, history lessons, access to the Mississippi and easy parking. Attracts hikers, bikers and even canoe enthusiasts. There are gorgeous lookout points and plenty of vistas for picnic areas. It is only a 7 minute drive from the Dubuque city center. You could spend all day there and not see all of it!
